This update features Nikolai Kozlov by freudroid.
Last time: Peony nearly burns her nipple. Nikolai has an encounter of the third kind with a bird, and adopts his first horse, Blossom. The sims get married and have their first child, Barney, with Nikolai not being there for the birth.

In an attempt to win back some brownie points with Peony, Nikolai throws himself into daddy duty. Teaching Barney to walk is step one in his plan to get out of his wife's bad books.

With his parents marriage hanging in the balance, Barney prefers to hide in the toybox.

Nikolai: Peony, do you remember that long and romantic conversation we had about the bench? I said I found the best bench ever and then you asked if I had seen the sunset. That was nice huh?!
Peony: Nice try Nikolai...

Nikolai: Don't laugh!

Peony: They grow up so fast...
I love over-emotional sims!

I've never seen a toddler reach for their parents hand before. So cute!

<3

Well someone's on the fast track to success.

Baby number two?

Peony: Hi, is this the real estate agent? I need a slightly larger home for my family, we are looking for three bedrooms and there simply isn't room to expand here. Are they any other suitable homes in town?

Bye bye house.

The Brite-Kozlov family moved to the other side of town to a home built by popular architect Lilymayrose. A stable was added for Blossom and since this photo was taken the shutters got a coat of pink paint.

Nikolai: Peony, can we get a Loch-Ness monster? I think Blossom would love a friend.

Nikolai spends a lot of his free time with Blossom. I love that he is equestrian, I haven't explored this in my game yet. His constant look of horror makes me laugh.

Nikolai: Blossom! Back into the stable.

Peony rarely gets the chance for a luxurious bubble-bath complete with her beloved rubber duck.

Barney: I am so smart, watch as I put this round peg in a triangular hole like a wizard!

Even wizards have to learn to walk.

Peony: Hi Daisy, I'm going to be throwing a party at my new home tonight. Would be great if you could come, can you get the word out to the rest of our colleagues?

Peony: Ah a stereo! Well played Controller, well played.

What party is complete without cookies? Peony got a big ol' pregnancy craving for them.

A clean toilet = happy guests.

I have no words.

Someone's feeling frisky....

*ahem*

The guests were none the wiser.
Random Sim: Plants make me happy.

Guess which Sim works with Nikolai?!

Stereo for the win!

In the midst of all the chaos and some routing failure, Nikolai couldn't keep his hands off his wife.

Plant loving sim even did the laundry.

Barney: Who is this man?! Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum!

Barney: That's better.

One of the best things about houseparties is that the family now has enough leftover food for the next week or so.

Peony's boss Daisy seems to be feeling lucky tonight. Could a romance be on the cards?

The next day Nikolai decided to attempt to dig up the patio. For reasons unknown to anyone but him.

Ah. Phantom hay.

I always thought equestrian sims would at least know how to get on a horse the right way around.

Nikolai: I do not understand how this happened.

w.o.w

Barney learnt to talk. I'm still trying to decide if I should be worried that his first words are about fire.

He also learns how to walk. This toddler is all ready for childhood now! Whoop!

Nikolai: Hi baby, we are going to buy you some building blocks when you come out to say hello.

Nikolai: They approve.

For some reason technophobe sims have no issues with stereos. I don't pretend to understand that logic.

The cuteness of Barney.

Someone's looking ready to burst.

#horsejumpingfail.

Awwwwww.

Peony: Nikolaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!

Barney: Now might be as good a time as any to hide in the toybox again.

Peony: Awwww look at my darling boy playing on his xylophone.

Nikolai: What do I do?!

Meet Prince Brite. He rolled Easily Impressed and Hates the Outdoors.

Still no idea where that blonde hair came from.....

Nikolai takes a nap before having to head to work. Watching childbirth is so exhausting.

The next morning, part two of training the toddlers begins with the potty.

Barney ages up and rolls Coward.
Thanks for reading :)

The boys are adorable! and Prince is just tooo cute. Love their new home :D Love this family.
Aww thanks Jenni, can't take too much credit for the home as the lovely Lily built it. I did pink up the interior though :)
Barney turned out really cute! Not that I wasn't expecting it but I just had to say it!
Poor Nikolai - he's really hopeless, isn't he?
He is pretty hopeless but then I think that's part of his charm :)
Lol at Nikolai and his horse :D
I love this adorable little family! Crossing my fingers for a girl, though :)
I kinda wanted a girl too, I was going to fill Peony up with watermelons but she really wanted another boy. Felt mean somehow...
I guess that does make sense, you gotta give your sims what they want lol
If she should want another child I am going to stuff her full of watermelons though :D
Those adorable little boys, I can't even. And plants make me happy too. Sometimes.
Me too, although I can't seem to keep them alive. The plants that is, not the boys.
Awwh, Nikolai on the horse :') So adorable <3
The kidlets are so cute! Looking forward to more :)
Thanks :) This family sure is keeping me on my toes. I have plenty of material for further updates.
Like a WIZARD! I suppose all of that hiding in the toybox was rather suggestive, huh? Poor cowardly Barney!
I confess that I intentionally made Nikolai a "difficult" sim, but I had really no idea he'd be quite sooo... um, well let's just say I'm glad he found a nice lady to whip him into shape? :D
Ahhh well now that makes sense, he is "difficult" but it's really all a part of his charm. I adore him! <3
Nikolai's equestrian fails are really amusing to me. I don't have Pets, so I just kind of appreciate it through other people, haha.
What cute kids though. I can't wait to see how they grow up.
Another great chapter, Lemon!
I love Barney's clever cuteness and Nikolai's inability to do just about anything right... typical man! I was surprised he made it to the birth this time ;)
"Prince" Brite? How on earth did you pick that? Sounds like a pedigree doberman *cheesy grin*.
More please.
Thanks Lily :) Dee came up with the name. She said Prince likes purple so it totally counts lol. | |
